Thank Michael! That looks like a really interesting concept, I will listen to some of those interviews.

If this fits where your head and heart are at, I’d love to schedule a “post-doom” conversation with you.

fyi… my audio recording of Catton’s Overshoot (the entire book) as well as a fabulous summary/overview by Peter Montague (which does not suffice for reading the book, as damn near every paragraph is wonderful, including Stewart Udall’s foreward) can be found here: https://soundcloud.com/michael-dowd-grace-limits/sets/william-r-catton-jr

Here’s what I have to say about all the above (some links to audio files are no longer good and I’ve migrated to Soundcloud): http://thegreatstory.org/sustainability-audios.html

Thanks, I have actually been invited to do an interview with the guy runnning the YouTube channel Collapse Chronicles and provide a top ten of recommended books on the topic. I have shortlisted some 30 books or so to read and review here (probably over the course of this year in between everything else!) and Catton’s Overshoot is indeed one of them, as he also mentioned it as an influential title. So, stay tuned 🙂

Catton, Jr in his 1980 classic, “Overshoot: The Ecological Basis of Revolutionary Change. I invite you to read and review it, as many of us consider it the single most important book of the 20th century and certainly the most important one we’ve ever read.

For a deeper look at why we’re screwed and how Pinker is ecologically clueless see my 24-minute Pinker takedown video; “Sane vs. Insane Progress”: https://youtu.be/1wdO1bZw0Ik

Keep up the great reviews!
